Eat and Shop During Your Family Day Out in the UK
Just like Corris Mine Explorers, The Corris Café is based at the Corris Craft Centre making it one of the best family days out in the UK. Call in before your underground mine exploration or to refuel after your slate mines north Wales exploration. The Corris Café was a finalist in the Best Place to Eat in the Mid Wales Tourism Awards. At this time of year the Cafe is closed and reopens in February.
The Corris Café serves an all-day menu; a welcoming blend of the finest Welsh ingredients, local recipes and delicious dishes keeping your energised for your UK outdoor activity. There’s an irresistible Rarebit combining Welsh Cheddar with Welsh ale. There’s delicious lamb cawl and homemade soup too. Fresh scones are baked daily and always sell out fast. Coffee is locally roasted and served by trained baristas. Dogs are welcome.
Next to the Café is the Welsh Deli where you’ll find the country’s finest produce, much sourced directly from local producers. Luxury Welsh food and drink gift hampers are a speciality.
The Welsh Deli is also a great place to shop. As well as an exciting range of Welsh food and drink items, there’s a growing range of Welsh Slate items including slate place mats, cheese boards, coasters, platters and Welsh slate clocks. A great memento of your slate mines North Wales visit.
