Mark Waite, your guide, has a wealth of experience having explored many caves and mines for the last 30 years! Mark's exploration of the mines and caves in and around the Corris area began about 24 years ago. During this time the old mines of Braich Goch have been extensively surveyed and documented.

Mark has spent a huge amount of time with his head in books, maps, plans and old documents relating to the slate industry of the local area. His knowledge is immense. So much so, that he is regularly asked to lead exploration trips in the area for members of mining history societies. Mark is himself a member of three mining history societies.
