Corris Mine Explorers is based underground. You will be taken into the dark, damp tunnels and underground workings by an experienced guide. The temperature underground is around 8°C all year round, there may be ankle deep water in places and there is a possibility that you will get dirty! Please wear suitable clothing and ideally a pair of wellies – if not, a good pair of strong boots. Wellies can be provided if need be.

Due to the length of time that you will be underground, particularly for the Half Day Mine Expedition, we suggest that you bring a drink and a snack. Anything taken underground must be in a backpack (max 30 litres) or safely in pockets. No bags can be carried as both hands must be free at all times. It is recommended that valuables are not carried underground.

Photography underground is allowed but at the discretion of your guide. Bulky photographic equipment must not be taken underground.
