Corris Mine Explorers is based underground. You will be taken into the dark, damp tunnels and underground workings by an experienced guide. The temperature underground is around 8°C all year round, there may be ankle deep water in places and there is a possibility that you will get dirty! Please wear really warm clothes with a thick coat, a couple of pairs of thick woolly socks and ideally a pair of wellies – if not, a good pair of strong boots. We can lend you a pair of wellies if need be.

Due to the length of time that you will be underground, particularly for the Half Day Mine Expedition, we suggest that you bring a drink and a snack. Anything taken underground must be in a backpack (max 30 litres) or safely in pockets. No bags can be carried as both hands must be free at all times. It is recommended that valuables are not carried underground.

Underground filming, including GoPros, is not allowed unless it has been pre-arranged and discussed with the guide. Underground photography is allowed but at the discretion of your guide. Bulky photographic equipment must not be taken underground.
